Hello!

I’m Valerie Soriano (she/her). I am an animator and rigging artist currently based in Aotearoa/New Zealand.

Since 2018 I have worked as an animator on plenty of shows for broadcast and streaming at Mukpuddy. The majority of my work has been done in Adobe Animate though more recent projects I have been involved in have been in Toon Boom Harmony.

My role has an animator has expanded since the start of my career as I have taken more of a senior position within my studio as well as pioneered my studios transition into Toon Boom Harmony. This not only includes animation but also being a big part of my studios rigging pipeline.

My most recent project (Be With Zee) has taken me into an animation team leader position which I was able to succesfully lead a team of 5-7 animators into a new production. I was able to navigate my team reliably through deadlines whilst keeping to the high quality that was set for the show.

Outside of work my main interests are videogames, voice acting and creating animations for social media. My favourite kind of media involves robots and dragons.
